Income Tax Receipts for 2025...   Just a reminder that any tax receipts that were not picked up last Sunday will be sent by mail as soon as possible. Please keep an eye on your mailbox! As a reminder, a tax receipt for donations to Parkwood during January and February of 2025 was provided in March of last year. Donors were allowed to use the tax receipt for January and February of 2025 in their submission for income taxes in 2024. If you chose not to do that, then when you prepare your tax submission for 2025, you should submit the tax receipt for January and February together with the receipt for March to December.  -  the Finance Team

Financial good news and not-so-good news...   First, the good news: in January 2026 Parkwood received a generous anonymous donation designated to repay the loans taken out to finance the new wing in 2015-2016. The donation was more than sufficient to pay off the two loans. As such, on the "donate" page, as well as in CanadaHelps, the Loan Repayment Fund has been removed from the list of funds to which donations can be directed, and the list renumbered accordingly. Now the not-so-good news: 2025 financial results that are emerging indicate we sustained a deficit in the neighbourhood of $6,000 and projections for 2026 are similar. It is hoped that those previously giving to the Loan Repayment Fund will direct future donations to the Operating Fund so we can continue to offer the programs currently available.

Mission Team Special Appeal 2025 #4:   The Mission Team's fourth special appeal for 2025, commencing November 16, is for Cariboo House Churches, supporting missionaries working among Indigenous peoples in the Cariboo Region of British Columbia.   More info can be found in the special insert distributed with the bulletin on November 16. and even more on their website, here.
