Activities please note: many church activities take place in the period September through mid-June and cease for the "summer" (mid-June through Labour Day weekend). Please consult the monthly calendar of activities for up-to-date information. Family Activities Families in our growing congregation share in a variety of activities and events throughout the year. Special events include sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, congregational picnics, camping weekends at Gracefield (pay them a visit - and say we sent you!), special events to celebrate important Christian festivals, choir concerts, Christmas pageants and congregational dinners. Activities for Individuals Parkwood offers many opportunities for people to get together. We have groups for youth, college & careers, singles & adults. We have bible studies for adults, one for men and one for women. We have activities for those who like to sing. We have ladies' and men's breakfasts. We offer support groups for those who need encouragement. We hope you'll be encouraged by these opportunities for fun and fellowship too. Selected Mondays at 12:00 PM Mondays at 6:30 PM - for those who would like to improve their English and enjoy meeting some new friends at the same time. A program is for children in grades 1 to 8. Wednesdays starting at 5:00 PM Wednesdays from 7:20 - 9:00 PM in the Meeting Room. Beacon Small Group Bible Study - 11:45 Sunday mornings in the Fireside Room. IT IS ... a discussion guide to help small study groups understand better the Word of God and relate its truth to their daily lives ... designed to help people discover God's truth for themselves in a supportive and encouraging small group fellowship. · normally every 2nd Sunday evening at 8 PM in the Fireside Room · Sunday evenings at 7:30 PM at the Fairs in Barrhaven (99 Stoneway Drive) Men get together the last Saturday morning of the month at 8.00 AM for breakfast and fellowship and to hear local prominent Christian laymen. place: Summerhays Grill, 1971 Baseline Road (Sept. through May) Women get together the third Saturday morning of the month at 8.30 AM for breakfast and fellowship and to hear a local speaker. place: Fellowship Hall, at the church (Sept. through May) Wednesdays from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. Ladies Bible Study, prayer and discussion group. Second Monday of every second month at 7:30 p.m. |
